How to Choose the Right Photo
Below are some tips that will help you choose the right photo for your portrait! Sometimes our favorite photograph, doesn't always make the best portrait, so keep these tools in mind while choosing your images.
Pet Portraits:
Make sure your photo is clear, close up, and has good lighting.
Dynamic, or close view photos make some of the best and most interesting portraits.
If a blurry photo is all you have, please send multiple images.
The photo you choose will ultimately be what the painting will look like, so choose a picture that you love!
If you send multiple images, express which photo you would prefer as the reference photo.
Include any details you would like to about your pet, or preferences of color.
Multiple Pets Portrait:
Same as the above information.
It is preferable that you send a photo of the pets together, but is not required.
The pets do not have to be together in the photo you send, it is OK to send the pets in individual photos if that is all you have.
Please make note of the sizes of each pet (ie: which is bigger) if you send individual images.
My Pet and Me Portrait:
You and your pet MUST be in the same photo for this option.
It is important that you and your pet are both seen in detail, good lighting, and close up.
Images that are far away or blurry will unfortunately not be accepted.
Home Portraits:
Choose a photo that you love, preferably in the season that you want the portrait to be represented in.
If you do not have a photo of your home in the season you'd prefer, please express that you would like the home represented in the season of your choice.
Good lighting is important, but also a good quality image that may be zoomed in to see detail in the architecture and design of your home is encouraged.
